Background
. CHESS Ltd was established in 1997 as a SACCO society based on Christian principles. CHESS prides itself in being an organization with a difference. The unique thing about CHESS is the common bond in Christian values and witness.

We recognize the need for people to exercise greater influence and control in the production of goods and services using resources at their disposal.

This can be done by use of appropriate technology that draws on their experience and feeds it, recognizes their potential and releases it, respects their environment and nurtures it, builds in their past to sustain the future.

We believe like our master the Lord Jesus Christ taught that the best aid to give is….the gift of knowledge.

Achievements
. With a humble membership of 20 at inception, CHESS Ltd. has since grown to 200- with the Lord adding to our number by the day.

. In her growth, CHESS Ltd. has continued to boost the entrepreneur development of her members and immensely contributed to setting up of new businesses and creation of employment.

This is witnessed by the amount disbursed out as loans whereby as at December 2002, over Ksh.20million had been loaned out whereas savings and upped to Ksh.6.5 million.

CHESS Ltd, exists to see to the enhancement of its members' business capacity through wealth and job creation.
